SumZero Launches "China TMT & eCommerce" Research Challenge

The SumZero team is traveling to Hong Kong, Seoul, Sydney, and Singapore during the month of June to introduce the research platform to top, Asia-focused funds and to expand the community's membership base in the region. We are pleased to kick off a broader series of sector/region-specific research challenges to support our growing international community. Together with The Sohn Hong Kong Conference Presented by the Karen Leung Foundation, SumZero is launching The China TMT & eCommerce Challenge, a site-wide research contest that goes live on June 17th.

Theme: China TMT & eCommerce.
Structure: Submit eligible Long or Short recommendations to the SumZero database during the contest dates.
Rules: Underlying companies must be >USD$500mm in market cap, must be domiciled in China or generate more than 50% of revenues in China, and must be classified as a tech, media, technology, or eCommerce business (according to Bloomberg's industry classifications). Submissions must be accompanied by a complete PDF attachment.
Timing: June 17-19th.
Judges: PMs/Senior Analysts at Large, Asia-Focused Funds.
Winners Announced: July 15th.
Eligibility: Open to all SumZero Buyside members.

•Invite to Private Speaker's Dinner at The 2016 Sohn Hong Kong Conference Presented by the Karen Leung Foundation (Open Only to Speakers and Platinum Sponsors).

2nd Place

All eligible contest ideas will published on the SumZero platform on July 15th, immediately following announcement of the Winners. All members who submit eligible ideas will be credited with access to the SumZero research database upon submission. We look forward to receiving your ideas on the 17th.
