The 5G Landscape Takes Shape: Rakuten, T-Mobile, Micron

As 5G-enabled devices come on line, we take a look at the emerging field of 5G players with SumZero members Stewart Gronek and Billy Duberstein (Stone Oak Capital). Case studies include: Rakuten, which is developing its own cloud-based virtualized network to overtake incumbent telecoms in Japan and beyond; T-Mobile, which inherited a deep spectrum portfolio through its Sprint acquisition and is well-positioned to serve the American 5G market; and lastly, Micron, which will see increased demand for its high-speed DRAM storage solutions in the 5G era.
